We drove up to the church at this address (37 Sandwich Road in Bourne) and were a little confused as to whether or not there was actually a thrift shop here or not… there weren’t any signs up or the usual flag out or anything that we saw when we drove by. Well I was about ready to give up and figure that the thrift store closed and the brochure just hadn’t been updated, but Andy went right into the church office to ask, because he is like that, thankfully.
So we ended up going into the thrift shop from the back way. I’m super glad that Andy persevered because this is a really cool shop.
It’s very tidy and well-organized, and the clothes are arranged by size which is always so helpful. There was a sale on winter clothes and accessories going on and I found a really nice REI hat which actually fit my big head (it was actually sized XL) so I was really thrilled about it. There were a bunch of other things I had in my hand that I was going to get that I had to talk myself out of because I didn’t need them (such as a Charleston Chew magnet that looks like a Charleston Chew candy bar, because although this is a fascinating thing, it’s not something I actually need in my life at the moment).
It turns out that we didn’t see the sign out front for the thrift store because it blew over in the wind. Oh. We noticed it when we exited from the front entrance.
